'99 Chevy Crew Cab Dually
Over the years we've repaired several vehicles that were done by "professional" shops. We've all heard horror stories about taking too long or just hacking up a once nice truck. We don't like to mention names but this has to be one of the worst.
This is what use to be a '99 Chevy Crew Cab Dually. The owner drove this to a "reputable" shop in the Dallas area to be bagged and body dropped on 22's, when almost new. After 2 years of hacking, this is all that remains. In disgust the owner was made to sign a release form saying they were not liable for anything in order to pull the truck/parts out of the shop. As for all the money paid in - gone - lost it, and we're talking double digits here. So after renting a moving van and a flat bed wrecker, this is how it came to us.
This will not be a short term project as you can see. We are missing several pieces and have a lot of parts that don't even go to the truck. We basically threw everything they did in the trash. Take one look at how they were stretching the rear fenders and that will give you an idea of the quality work being performed. There was not one piece left untouched except for the gas tank and the a/c-heater box under the dash and we feel this is just because they didn't know how to remove them!
We will update regularly with new pics as work progresses, so please check back.
