Mike Farmer founded Insane Designs in 1994. He has been around the custom truck scene since 1989. Starting out by doing simple drops for friends in the early 90's and by 1994 was installing hydraulics on many Mini-trucks in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. By early '94 had performed his 1st body drop on a 1986 Mazda B2000, which was the 1st body dropped truck at the Texas Heat Wave Show in Austin in 1994 which won lowest adjustable suspension. That same truck was later featured in Mini Truckin construction zone in November 1995 and again in June 2002.

Since that time he has been building some of the best built and lowest trucks in the Dallas area and has over 10 different truck features from various national magazines.
